Als qualitätsbewusster Hausbesitzer war mir bis anhin dieser Brand für rostfreie Beschläge und professionelle Schloss-, Schlüssel und Schliesssysteme ein Begriff. Weit gefehlt; mit 25 Teilnehmern lernten wir das umfassende Sortiment, die professionellen Dienstleistungen und die Logistik dieses deutschen Familienunternehmens kennen, welches 1923 in Aulendorf bei Württemberg gegründet wurde.
Beschläge für Bau und Möbel sowie Schlösser und Schliessanlagen stellen in Europa das Kerngeschäft dar. Eines der Key Produkte ist sicherlich der „Minifix“ - dank dieser HÄFELE Erfindung können u.a. Schränke einfacher montiert werden. In Thailand werden seit 25 Jahren zusätzlich Markenprodukte für Küche und Sanitär vertrieben.
Das 2010 erstellte Logistik Center Bangna mit 10‘000 m2 muss bereits vergrössert werden. Ein Anbau in der gleichen Grössenordnung ist am Entstehen. Zusätzlich befinden sich 5 weitere Distribution Center in Chiang Mai, Kohn Kaen, Ubonratchathani, Suratthani und Hat Yai.
Zulasten des angestrebten Lagerumschlags von 2,5 wird eine hohe Produkteverfügbarkeit sichergestellt, erklärte uns der Managing Director Volker Hellstern bei seiner sehr aufschlussreichen Führung.
Nebst der Logistik werden an diesem Standort auch Schosszylinder und Schlüssel hergestellt. Grössere Anlangen, wie z.B. für das thailändische Parlament, werden auch hier in Thailand projektiert - jedoch im Hauptsitz in Deutschland produziert.
Qualität hat Priorität 1, auch bei der Lieferung. Im Grossraum Bangkok erfolgt diese innerhalb 24 Stunden. HÄFELE beschäftigt in Thailand 1‘500 Mitarbeiter und ist mit 6 eigenen Design Center vertreten (siehe auch https://www.hafele.com/th/en).
Natürlich werden die Produkte auch im Fachhandel und Einrichtungshäusern wie z.B. Globalhouse und HomePro vertrieben. Interessant war zu erfahren, dass die vielen Verkäufer in den Märkten von den Lieferanten bezahlt werden.
Nebst den Markenprodukten für Küche und Bad werden im Design Center an der 57 Soi Sukhumvit 64 in Bangkok vor allem kreative und sehr innovative Produkteanwendungen ausgestellt; sehr platzsparende Einbaumöbel, wie z.B. Kombinationen Bett/Sofa oder Arbeitsplatz, funktionelle Schränke und Küchen. Ein Besuch in einem HÄFELE Studio wäre eigentlich für jeden Bauherren empfehlenswert.
Nach den interessanten Führungen und Präsentationen wurden wir von der Häfele Bistro Crew, unter der Leitung von Khun Mem, mit einem hervorragenden Fingerfood Buffet verwöhnt.
Meine Eindrücke fasse ich zusammen mit „Wo HÄFELE drauf steht, ist auch HÄFELE drin.

Being a quality-conscious house owner, I knew the brand HÄFELE for its stainless fittings, professional locking systems, keys, and key systems.
Far from it – the 25 participants of this event learned about the wide range, the professional service, and the logistic system of this German family business, which was established in Aulendorf, closed to Württemberg, in 1923.
Fittings for buildings and furniture as well as door locks and electronic access control systems represent their key business in Europe. One of the key products is “Minifix”. Thanks to this HÄFELE invention, cupboards can be mounted in a simple way.
For the last 25 years, HÄFELE is distributing in Thailand additionally kitchen and sanitary brand products. The logistic center Bangna (10,000m2), built in 2010, has to be enlarged. An extension of the site with additional 10,000m2 HÄFELE is in progress. In Thailand, 5 further logistic centers are situated in Chiang Mai, Kohn Kaen, Ubonratchathani, Suratthani and Hat Yai.
Mr. Volker Hellstern, Managing Director, explained us during the site tour that at the expense of a 2,5 stock rotation, a high product availability can be guaranteed.
In addition to the logistic handling, they produce locking cylinders and keys in Bangna. Major electronic access control systems, e.g. for the Thai parliament, are projected in Thailand, but produced in the headquarters in Germany.
Top quality has first priority – not only for the products but as well for the delivery of goods which is guaranteed within 24 hours in the area of Bangkok. HÄFELE Thailand has 1,500 employees and 6 design centers
The products are available of course as well via dealer network and in furniture stores like e.g. Globalhouse and HomePro. It was very interesting to learn that the numerous sellers in these stores are paid by the suppliers.
In addition to the brand products for bathrooms and kitchens they show in their design center at 57 Soi Sukhumvit 64 in Bangkok mainly creative and innovative product applications.
There you can find space-saving fixed furniture solutions, e.g. combination of bed/sofa or working space combinations, functional cupboards and kitchens. A tour around this design center is highly recommended to everybody who plans to build a house.
After the interesting tour around the company and the presentations, we were offered a excellent finger food buffet prepared by Khun Mem, head of the HÄFELE Bistro Crew.
Summarizing this tour, I would like to say: whenever HÄFELE is written on the packaging, HÄFELE is also in it.
