Swiss Society Bangkok, Christmas Brunch 2020, Brasserie 9

Überraschung für den Paparazzo: letztes Jahr noch ein Parkplatz und heute steht rechts von der Brasserie 9 ein weiteres Lokal der BAC Gourmet House Co. Ltd, das Restaurant Ruen noppagao mit authentischer Thaiküche. Gemäss Linus A.E. Knobel, der kürzeste Launch in seiner Karriere: am 20. März offizielle Eröffnung und am 22. März COVID Schliessung, bevor man dann im Mai den regulären Betrieb aufnehmen konnte.

Bereits zum 4. Mal wird der SSB Weihnachtsbrunch in der Brasserie 9 zelebriert, wie gewohnt mit speziellem Programm für die 26 anwesenden Kinder, gesponsert von der RIS Swiss Section, der Deutschsprachigen Schule in Bangkok. Das Team mit Kuhn Mai Sutassanee Prajitranon, Leiterin, Fabian Ehrensberger, Lalita Sealim, Tobias Löw und Silvan Meier unterhielt die Kinder mit vielen Spielsachen und mit Bastel- und Malutensilien (siehe Fotos).

Unter der Leitung von Khun Sudarat Binsolem, Restaurant Managerin, wurden die 82 kleinen und grossen Gäste von der 28-köpfigen Crew in Küche und Service kulinarisch «wie gewohnt» auf höchstem Niveau verwöhnt. Der Paparazzo «erwischte» Linus, als er kurz vor der Eröffnung des Buffets noch kurz einen Kontrollblick auf die Köstlichkeiten warf.

Zum Dessert begrüsste der Samichlaus zuerst die Erwachsenen, bevor er im Spielraum den Kleinen von seiner Herkunft aus der kalten Schweiz erzählte und ein herziges Gedicht von der Weihnachtsmaus zum Besten gab. Anschliessend der Höhepunkt, persönlich vom Samichlaus für jedes Kind ein Säckli mit leckeren Guezli, die aber meistens sofort bei Mami oder Papi deponiert wurden, damit man weiterspielen konnte.

Christmas brunch on Sunday with Santa Claus, 13th December 2020

Surprise for the paparazzo: last year, a car park and today, to the right of Brasserie 9, stands another restaurant of BAC Gourmet House Co. For the 4th time, the SSB Christmas Brunch is celebrated at Brasserie 9, as usual with a special programme for the 26 children present, sponsored by the RIS Swiss Section, the German-speaking school in Bangkok. The team with Khun Mai Sutassanee Prajitranon, director, Fabian Ehrensberger, Lalita Sealim, Tobias Löw and Silvan Meier entertained the children with many toys and with handicraft and painting utensils (see photos).

Under the direction of Khun Sudarat Binsolem, Restaurant Manager, the 82 guests, young and old, were treated to culinary delights of the highest standard "as usual" by the 28-strong crew in the kitchen and service. The paparazzo "caught" Linus taking a quick look at the delicacies shortly before the buffet was opened.

For dessert, Father Christmas first greeted the adults before telling the little ones in the playroom about his origins in cold Switzerland and reciting a heartfelt poem about the Christmas mouse. Afterwards, the highlight was when Father Christmas personally gave each child a sack of delicious biscuits, most of which were immediately deposited with their mummy or daddy so that they could continue playing.
