Meet the Swiss Community in Pattaya - 03.10.2025

 

🇩🇪 141 Schweizer und Schweizerinnen mit ihren Partnern und Partnerinnen kamen zu diesem schönen Event zusammen. Nach einem Aperitif auf der Terrasse des Royal Cliff Resorts mit einem herrlichen Blick auf das Meer begann das Programm in dem eindrucksvoll mit Schweizer Fähnen dekorierten Restaurant.

Botschafter, H.E. Pedro Zwahlen, eröffnete die Veranstaltung und hieß alle Anwesenden herzlich willkommen. Er stellte seine Mitarbeiter vor: den Generalkonsul Jacques Baudevin und die Honorarkonsulin in Pattaya, Esther Kaufman. In seinem Vortrag berichtete er über die Aufgaben des Konsulates und informierte die Anwesenden, dass neben den Kontonen BS, SG, TG und GR, die E-Voting bereits eingeführt haben, die Kantone GE, BE, NE, FR, LU, AG die Absicht haben, dem E-Voting beizutreten.

Anschließend sprach Christian Brunner, Präsident der Swiss Society Bangkok, über die SSB und ihre Aktivitäten. Er lädt alle Anwesenden zum Betritt in die Swiss Societz Bangkok ein. Anmeldung auf der Website: https://www.ssb.or.th.

Zum Abschluss erörterte Josef Schnyder, Delegierter im Auslandschweizerrat, die Aufgaben der ASO. Er informierte die Anwesenden darüber, dass der Bundesrat plant, den Bundesbeitrag für das Auslandmandat zu streichen, was das Ende von Swissinfo (https://www.swissinfo.ch) bedeuten würde. Für diejenigen, die Probleme mit ihrem Bankkonto in der Schweiz haben, hat die ASO eine Partnerschaft mit der ZKB und der BCGE abgeschlossen. Diese Partnerschaft eröffnet den Auslandschweizern die Möglichkeit, ein Bankkonto zu führen. Abschließend informierte er über das Postulat zur "Krankenversicherung für Auslandschweizer", das im letzten Oktober im Nationalrat knapp abgelehnt wurde. Nach dem offiziellen Teil wurde das Buffet eröffnet, das ein reichhaltiges Angebot an Schweizer und thailändischen Gerichten bot, kreiert von Alessandro Haab. Der Abend wurde von einer Band begleitet, mit Rolf Ruegg als Leadsänger.

Es war ein gelungener Abend voller anregender Gespräche, köstlicher Speisen und musikalischer Unterhaltung.

🇫🇷 141 Suisses et Suissesses, accompagnés de leurs partenaires, se sont réunis pour cet événement magnifique. Après un apéritif sur la terrasse du Royal Cliff Resort, offrant une vue imprenable sur la mer, le programme a commencé dans un restaurant impressionnant décoré de drapeaux suisses.

L'ambassadeur, H.E. Pedro Zwahlen, a ouvert la manifestation et a chaleureusement accueilli tous les présents. Il a présenté ses collaborateurs : le consul général Jacques Baudevin et la consule honoraire à Pattaya, Esther Kaufman. Lors de son discours, il a évoqué les missions du consulat et a informé les participants que, en plus des cantons BS, SG, TG et GR qui ont déjà introduit le vote électronique, les cantons de GE, BE, NE, FR, LU et AG prévoient de rejoindre le système de vote électronique.

Enfin, Josef Schnyder, délégué au Conseil des Suisses à l'étranger, a discuté des missions de l'OSE (Organisation Suisse des Etrangers). Il a informé les participants que le Conseil fédéral envisage de supprimer la contribution fédérale pour le mandat à l'étranger, ce qui signifierait la fin de Swissinfo (https://www.swissinfo.ch). Pour cette raison, une pétition a été lancée. S'il est important pour vous que Swissinfo existe, il a demandé de bien vouloir signer la pétition. Pétition pour sauver Swissinfo.

Pour ceux qui rencontrent des problèmes avec leur compte bancaire en Suisse, l'ASO a conclu un partenariat avec la ZKB et la BCGE. Ce partenariat offre aux Suisses de l'étranger la possibilité de maintenir un compte bancaire. En conclusion, il a informé sur le postulat concernant "l'assurance maladie pour les Suisses de l'étranger", qui a été rejeté de justesse au Conseil national en octobre dernier. Après la partie officielle, le buffet a été ouvert, offrant une riche sélection de plats suisses et thaïlandais, créés par Alessandro Haab. La soirée a été animée par un groupe de musique, avec Rolf Ruegg en tant que chanteur principal.

Ce fut une soirée réussie, pleine d'échanges enrichissants, de délices culinaires et d'animations musicales.

Swiss Ambassador, H.E. Pedro Zwahlen, opened the event and warmly welcomed all attendees. He introduced his team: Consul General Jacques Baudevin and Honorary Consul Esther Kaufman in Pattaya.
