Get-Together June 2025
On June 17th 2025, we gathered at the new Chesa Restaurant for our monthly Get-Together – a relaxed evening with an enlightening presentation, good food, and great conversations.
This time, we had the pleasure of welcoming Khun Bangkok Chowkwanyun, who held a lively and interactive presentation on Buddhism and meditation.
Educated at Cambridge and MIT and formerly a corporate executive, Khun Bangkok has devoted his life since 1996 to NGO work and to a deep, personal journey into Buddhism. He began exploring Buddhist teachings and meditation in the early 1990s and has since studied with renowned teachers in Thailand and Myanmar. Today, he is a passionate meditation teacher himself, committed to sharing the insights and practices of the Buddha’s path.
During his talk he introduced us to one of the central teachings of Buddhism – the five aggregates - which are the components that make up a human being:

Through personal stories, reflections, and thoughtful dialogue with the audience, Khun Bangkok offered enlightening insights into mindfulness, self-awareness, and the Buddhist view of the human experience.
