Swiss National Day 2025

🇩🇪 Am 2. August, bei strahlendem Wetter, feierte die Swiss Society Bangkok den Nationalfeiertag auf dem Gelände der Schweizer Botschaft. Rund 360 Gäste versammelten sich, um diesen feierlichen Anlass gebührend zu zelebrieren. Nach einem erfrischenden Glas Wein zum Aperitif, das von der Schweizer Botschaft offeriert wurde, begrüßte SSB-Präsident Christian Brunner um Punkt 18:00 Uhr die Anwesenden. Im Anschluss daran sprach Botschafter Pedro Zwahlen, der gleichzeitig den neu gestalteten Garten mit Festzelt offiziell einweihte und seine Mitarbeiter der Botschaft vorstellte. Ein eindrucksvolles Alphornspiel und die Rede unserer Bundespräsidentin Karin Keller-Sutter bildeten einen weiteren Höhepunkt des Abends, gefolgt von den Nationalhymnen von Thailand und der Schweiz.

Für eine heimelige Atmosphäre sorgten Robert Imfeld und Peter Jenni mit ihrem Schwyzerörgeli-Duett sowie der talentierte Alphornbläser Koni Bruhin, die mit ihren Klängen gute Stimmung verbreiteten und ein Gefühl von Heimat evozierten.

Ein köstliches Schweizer Buffet, liebevoll zubereitet von Alessandro Haab und Gourmet Primo, bot den Gästen eine Vielzahl an kulinarischen Delikatessen. Darüber hinaus wurde ein von Ruben Begert selbstgebrautes Bier serviert.

Für diejenigen, die noch nicht genug hatten, gab es am Stand von "Jacky Bakes" die Möglichkeit, Würste, frische Brote und Schweizer Guetzli mitzunehmen.

Die Feierlichkeiten erstreckten sich bis zehn Uhr abends und zauberten eine festliche Stimmung, die von den Gästen sehr geschätzt wurde. Es war ein gelungener Abend, der die Verbundenheit der Schweizer Gemeinschaft in Thailand perfekt zum Ausdruck brachte.

🇬🇧 On August 2nd, under clear skies, the Swiss Society Bangkok celebrated National Day on the grounds of the Swiss Embassy. Around 360 guests gathered to honor this festive occasion appropriately. After a refreshing glass of wine for the aperitif, generously offered by the Swiss Embassy, SSB President Christian Brunner welcomed the attendees promptly at 6:00 PM. Following his remarks, Ambassador Pedro Zwahlen spoke, officially inaugurating the newly redesigned garden with marquee and introducing his embassy staff. The event was highlighted by an impressive alphorn performance and a speech from our Federal President, Karin Keller-Sutter, followed by the national anthems of Thailand and Switzerland.

The atmosphere was enriched by the charming Schwyzerörgeli duet of Robert Imfeld and Peter Jenni, as well as the talented alphorn player Koni Bruhin, who filled the air with joyous melodies, evoking a sense of home.

A delightful Swiss buffet, lovingly prepared by Alessandro Haab and Gourmet Primo, offered guests a variety of culinary delicacies. Additionally, self-brewed beer by Ruben Begert was served.

For those who still wanted more, there was the opportunity at the "Jacky Bankes" stand to take home sausages, fresh bread, and Swiss cookies.

The celebrations continued until ten o'clock in the evening, creating a festive spirit that was greatly appreciated by all attendees. It was a successful evening that perfectly expressed the unity of the Swiss community in Thailand.

🇫🇷 Le 2 août, par un temps radieux, la Swiss Society Bangkok a célébré la fête nationale sur le terrain de l'ambassade suisse. Environ 360 invités se sont rassemblés pour honorer cette occasion festive de manière appropriée. Après un verre de vin rafraîchissant en apéritif, offert par l'ambassade suisse, le président de la SSB, Christian Brunner, a accueilli les participants à 18h00 précises. Par la suite, l'ambassadeur Pedro Zwahlen a pris la parole, inaugurant officiellement le jardin récemment aménagé avec un chapiteau et présentant les membres de son équipe.

Une impressionnante performance d'alphorn et le discours de notre présidente de la Confédération, Karin Keller-Sutter, ont constitué un autre point culminant de la soirée, suivis des hymnes nationaux de la Thaïlande et de la Suisse.

Robert Imfeld et Peter Jenni, avec leur duo de Schwyzerörgeli, ainsi que le talentueux joueur d'alphorn Koni Bruhin, ont contribué à créer une atmosphère chaleureuse, remplie de mélodies joyeuses évoquant le sentiment de chez-soi.

Un délicieux buffet suisse, préparé avec soin par Alessandro Haab et Gourmet Primo, a offert aux invités une variété de délices culinaires. De plus, une bière maison préparée par Ruben Begert a été servie.

Pour ceux qui n'en avaient pas encore assez, il y avait la possibilité, au stand de "Jacky Bankes", de rapporter des saucisses, du pain frais et des biscuits suisses.

Les célébrations ont duré jusqu'à dix heures du soir, instaurant une ambiance festive qui a été grandement appréciée par tous les participants. Ce fut une soirée réussie qui a parfaitement exprimé la solidarité de la communauté suisse en Thaïlande.
